Perth market snapshot for the week ending 4 December 2022

Sales activity decreased 12.3 per cent in Perth last week, with REIWA members reporting 882 transactions.

A closer look shows house sales decreased by 14.9 per cent, unit sales decreased by 13.6 per cent and vacant land sales increased by 47.4 per cent.

 

Properties for sale

There were 8,475 properties for sale in Perth at the end of last week, which is down 1.8 per cent compared with the previous week. This can be attributed to a 1 per cent decrease in house listings, 3 per cent decreased in unit listings and a decrease of 2.2 per cent in vacant land listings.

Last week’s total figure of properties available for sale is 3.2 per cent higher than levels seen four weeks ago but 9.3 per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

 

Properties for rent

In Perth’s rental market, REIWA members reported there were 1,877 properties for rent in Perth at the end of last week, which is fairly stable compared with the previous week. Last week’s rental listings figure is 6.4 per cent higher than levels seen four weeks ago but 18.2 per cent lower than a year ago.

REIWA members reported 641 properties leased. Leasing activity decreased by 3.3 per cent in Perth last week.
